The insertion of approximately 8 to 10 implants distributed over the arch enables us to best balance the occlusal loads and to improve the success of the immediate loading: the treatment plan will be specified in the pre-implant diagnosis. A list of contraindications will be drawn up (such as the bone volumes or certain serious diseases), in order to enhance the success of the protocol.
A study of occlusal forces and an aesthetic simulation will enable us to design a three-dimensional radio-surgical guide that complies with the implant planning to within one tenth of a millimetre. This is a replica of the future prosthesis that the surgeon will place in the patient’s mouth during the procedure. This “pre-prosthesis” will guide the surgical procedure according to an information technology plan made in advance, thus ensuring optimal integration of the implants in the buccal bone volume.
